DentMILL

DentMILL - 3-5 Axis Dental CAM

DentMILL is a 3, 4 and 5 axis Dental CAM (computer aided machining) program for the manufacture of simple and anatomical copings and bridge frameworks including full crowns and abutments.

DentMILL is a completely ‘open’ CAM system based on Delcam’s world leading machining program called PowerMILL. The most efficient, fast, accurate and time saving strategies within PowerMILL, based on 12 years of development, are all found within DentMILL. This makes it the most highly automated and powerful Dental CAM system on the market today. DentMILL uses industry standard formats to enable easy model sharing and connectivity between other open CAD/CAM systems and CNC machines.

  • Easy to Use

No prior CAM experience required. User friendly interface guides you through the process, then automatically completes the machining process.

Efficient machining strategies are chosen by DentMILL to produce highly optimised part-finish and reduced cutting times.

  • Fully Automatic Toolpath Generation
DentMILL contains a conventional 3 axis module, but also offers a 4 and 5 axis milling module for cutting areas of undercut regions and complex shapes where 5 axis capabilities may be required.

  • Complete Stock Materials Library
A library of standard stock materials is included; any custom size can be easily added. The material shrinkage value can be defined for any stock.

Any material types can be machined using DentMILL including titanium, zirconia and alloy.

  • Automatic Nesting & Set-Up Sheets
Automatic nesting to position multiple parts in the best location to maximize material usage.

Automatic creation of process information sheets to easily identify restorations after machining. Sheets include stock material, item numbers & part shading.

  • Margin Line Priority
DentMILL recognises the margin line as the most critical part of the model and applies unique cutting strategies in this area to ensure high accuracy, minimizing hand finishing.

The Art of Milling

Typically, machinists are highly skilled engineers in the art of milling which takes years of experience to manufacture parts efficiently and accurately. With the help of a dental interface and automated machining strategies, DentMILL removes the need for this level of experience and can be used by almost anyone new to CAM programs and CNC machining.
